Data Engineer
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- 5 years of experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience working with technical customers and technical team.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of best IT industry practices
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
About the Job
As a data engineer, you will be handling the design and construction of Tachyon, and ensure that all data systems meet company needs, and also research new uses for data acquisition. You need to be ideally updated with the ins and outs of the industry such as data mining practices, and how can data be used.
Responsibilities
To maintain flexible data pipelines and build API integrations to support continuous increase of data volume and complexity.
To collaborate with functional members to enhance data models that feed business intelligence tools, increase data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making.
To implement processes to monitor data quality.
Document integration tests and contribute to engineering process flow documents.
To display strong teamwork with backend engineers, frontend engineers and functional team.
Design quality data integrations.
Develop plans for platform architecture
